General Information
All our bedrooms and bathrooms are individually furnished to a very high standard with gloriously comfortable beds, pure Egyptian cotton sheets, large fluffy white towels and The White Company toiletries. Each room has a flat screen Digital TV with freeview, radio, hairdryer, complimentary mineral water, and a de luxe hot drinks tray. Free wi-fi is provided.
An iron and ironing board is available, as is an ironing service should you not wish to do any chores during your stay!
We would be delighted to arrange for flowers, champagne and chocolates to be provided in your room if you are planning a romantic break or celebrating a special occasion.
Starborough Manor has an integrated fire alarm system and automatic lighting system, which will come on if the electricity fails.
Starborough Manor has a non-smoking policy throughout the house.
Well behaved children and babies are welcome! We have high chairs and a cot, as well as games and toys, including a large wooden “Brio” train set, and children’s videos to keep them entertained.
We are delighted to offer a charming sitting room on the first floor for our guests to relax in, with freeview TV, a dvd and video player ( a selection of DVDs and videos are provided) books, brochures and guide books on places of interest in the area. There is a second sitting room/study for those wishing to work or read quietly.
We also have a kitchen, and dining room should guests prefer to prepare their own dinner at Starborough Manor in the evening rather than go out to the local pubs and restaurants. There is an additional charge of £10 per day for the use of the kitchen and dining room.
Broadband Wireless internet access/connection is provided.
Guests are free to walk and relax in our parkland grounds and gardens, overlooking the moated Starborough Castle, play a game of tennis (please bring your own tennis rackets, balls and non-marking tennis shoes) or swim in our outdoor heated swimming pool during the summer months, provided it is available.
There are also many enjoyable walks from Starborough Manor, including the long distance Vanguard Way, and the Eden Valley Walk. We have Ordnance Survey maps which you are welcome to borrow, as well as wellingtons, if required!
